Walking in the Footsteps of the Buddha

an experience of the Four Noble Truths
Buddha

'After the Buddha gained enlightenment,he sought out his old companions to tell them of his great discovery. The way he put it to them, which resulted in their eventual realization of the truth, was in the terms of the 4 Noble Truths; that life is unsatisfactory; that this is because of our craving; that it is possible to reach a state of complete peace and freedom from the painful tug of craving for things to be otherwise; and that one can reach that state by following a path.' Sangharakshita

On this retreat we will be given a wonderful opportunity to hear about, explore and reflect on these truths and their relevance to us in the 21st century. Meditation and ritual will also allow us to build a positive emotional base on which to dive deeper into this great law of conditionality.
