Meditation

Instruction in Meditation

Learn the FWBO's two central meditation practices - the Mindfulness of Breathing and the Metta Bhavana. Discover how to make Buddhist meditation part of your life.

Our courses are taught by ordained members of the Western Buddhist Order, assisted by those training for ordination. They are experienced practitioners, who teach in a friendly, relaxed way, communicating from their own experience.

Drop-In Classes

We provide instruction in meditation for those with little or no experience through drop-in classes, open to all, on:

Monday lunchtimes at 12:30 pm (except public holidays)
Thursday evenings at 7:30 pm
Saturday mornings at 11 am
Sessions last for approximately 45 minutes, during which you will be given an introduction to a meditation practice, some help with posture and a led through meditation.
We ask $10 for a drop-in meditation class, ($5 for Concession Card holders).
